Afterwards, we'll drive to Shillong, covering a distance of approximately 130 km in about 3.5 hours. En route, we'll make a stop at Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani, the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Surrounded by picturesque hills and lush greenery, Umiam Lake offers opportunities for picnics, fishing, and water sports. Check in to your hotel in Shillong and spend the night.
Today, embark on a day trip to Cherrapunjee, which was once known as one of the wettest places on Earth. The scenic drive of about 55 km (approximately 1.5 hours) offers breathtaking views of deep gorges and verdant hills adorned with tropical vegetation, including ferns, moss, and orchids.
