Itinerary description

Day 1: Departure from Delhi-Arrival in Guptkashi

Your adventure begins with an overnight departure from Delhi in a comfortable 16-seater traveler with pushback recliner seats, It will be an overnight journey from Delhi. Reach Guptkashi and check into your deluxe hotel or Swiss tents. Spend the day at leisure, exploring the town and preparing for the trek ahead. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 2: Guptkashi to GauriKund – Trek to Kedarnath

Wake up early to a hearty breakfast as the day promises to be exhilarating. Drive to GauriKund, the base for the Kedarnath trek, and begin your 16 km journey on foot through lush green valleys, cascading waterfalls, and steep mountain paths. As you trek, you'll witness the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas, with each step bringing you closer to the sacred Kedarnath Temple. Arrive at Kedarnath by evening, where you’ll check into base camps near the temple. After freshening up, you can visit the temple for evening aarti (prayers) and experience the spiritual atmosphere that surrounds this holy site. Enjoy a simple yet fulfilling dinner before resting for the night at the base camps.

Day 3: Kedarnath Temple Visit – Trek Back to GauriKund – Transfer to Chopta

Rise early to visit the Kedarnath Temple again for morning darshan (prayers). Soak in the spiritual energy of this revered site, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. After completing your temple visit, begin your trek back down to GauriKund. The descent offers another opportunity to marvel at the stunning Himalayan landscapes. Once back at GauriKund, a vehicle will transfer you to Chopta, often called the ‘Mini Switzerland of India’ for its pristine meadows and panoramic views. After reaching Chopta, check into your Swiss tents and relax after the day’s adventure. Gather around a warm bonfire in the evening and share stories with your fellow travelers before enjoying dinner and retiring for the night.

Day 4: Tungnath-Chandrashila Trek – Overnight in Chopta

Fuel up with breakfast at the camp as today is all about the thrill of trekking. Begin your trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, set against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas. The trail is steep but rewarding, offering incredible views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. After paying homage at the temple, continue your trek upwards to Chandrashila Peak, perched at over 4,000 meters. From here, you’ll be treated to breathtaking, panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. After soaking in the sights and capturing plenty of photos, head back down to your campsite in Chopta. The evening is once again dedicated to unwinding around a cozy bonfire, sharing your day's experiences. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5: Departure for Delhi via Haridwar – Witness the Ganga Aarti

On your final day, wake up to a serene morning in the mountains and enjoy breakfast at the camp. After checking out, begin your return journey to Delhi. En route, stop at Haridwar to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ritual that takes place on the ghats of the holy Ganges River. The sight of hundreds of floating diyas (oil lamps) and the chants of the devotees create a magical atmosphere, making this a perfect end to your Himalayan adventure. Continue the drive back to Delhi, where you’ll arrive by midnight, bringing your journey to a close.
